An immersion in tradition and resilience
Visiting the Kalunga quilombos was one of the richest experiences of the trip. The hike is light and surrounded by beautiful scenery, but what stood out most was the connection with the community. They welcomed us warmly and shared their history with pride. I left with greater awareness and respect for this vital part of Brazil.
