Meet Bianca, founder of Aquarela Travel, our partner in the Lençóis Maranhenses and a leading voice in responsible tourism in the region
Since 2018, Aquarela Travel has operated at the gateway to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, offering authentic itineraries that celebrate the land, local culture, and nature. The operation is led by native ecological guides accredited by ICMBio, with a team composed primarily of women who are at the forefront of tourism strategies in the region.
All itineraries are tailor-made, with exclusive experiences developed by the Aquarela team, always focused on community-based tourism, social inclusion, and the appreciation of local knowledge.
Bianca is also deeply engaged in strengthening regional tourism. Since 2023, she has participated in the development and validation of new itineraries in partnership with SEBRAE and local government agencies.
In 2024, she represented Lençóis Maranhenses at ITB Berlin alongside EMBRATUR. She is a founding member of the IGR Lençóis and Delta Association, a member of the Public Use Chamber of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, and an active participant in MUDA, a national collective for responsible tourism in Brazil.
